Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
You would not ever amount to anything. You are ugly. You are a loser. You will be just like your father. You will die young. You will be in jail. You will not graduate.
How I responded:
I believed in me. I worked hard for everything I have. I gave my all to whatever I did. I let the noise motivate me. I made sure to look after others. I encouraged myself.
