I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
Learned meditation at age of 8. Taught by my 3rd grade school teacher.
2.
Curiosity after reading The Power of Myth in college led me to search for a yoga studio home.
3.
Divorce with two small children helped me to focus on being present with my kids in order to heal.
4.
Was laid off from soul-sucking corporate job. Took the leap and created my own yoga business.
5.
Took a job as a teacher at Fusion Academy, education with soul.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
You're a single mom now, go get a real job like every other single mom who sacrifices herself.
How I responded:
I got very still and practiced what I teach. I took deep breaths back into my own self. I asked myself why I wanted to become a yoga teacher/mentor. I realized the need in me to do that was greater than the need to make sense to others about my choices.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
When I chose to create my own business I had no savings and financial backing. I was hustling to make ends meet, teaching a lot, doing odd jobs, and trading services.
