Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Society in general:

What are you going to do with a psychology degree?

  • How I responded:

  • My mom told me I would have to go to the community college near my home, but the thought infuriated me because it was restricting and would require me to stay in my home town. I wanted to branch out so I made it happen by applying for loans & grants.
