My road in life took a while to figure out.
Moved from Ohio to Florida and was able to reinvent myself.
Got an entry level job with a bank on my first try.
Decided I wanted to be a manager.
Followed a path that mentors set out for me, i.e. getting supervision experience.
Performed as a supervisor and asked to go to the next step.
Performed as a branch manager to the best of my abilities.
Moved to New York and became a branch manager and a mentor to new managers.

Day to Day

I am part of an office team that takes care of the needs of customers so that their dreams can be fulfilled. This might be opening new accounts for them or having a needs assessment conversation for future needs. Additionally, a great day for me would be seeing my coaching / teaching efforts succeeding in the above activities.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Find a job that will allow you to take care of customers. Learn how to to talk to people of many ages and communicate with them properly.
