Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
You should stay home and help the family.
How I responded:
You overcome any "noise" by doing whatever feels right to you, as long as you're not being a burden to someone else or hurting your future. You can never go wrong if you follow your heart. Sometimes, we have to go through temporary situations to reach our goals. You just have to remember that the end result is definitely worth it.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I grew up in a rough neighborhood. A lot of my close family and friends who I grew up with died, and I'm not even 30. Sometimes I ask myself , "why me and not them?" You just have to remember your "end game" and stay focused.
