Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Family:
You're out of your mind to give up law school, you don't know what you're doing. After all that work, are you kidding?
How I responded:
The average person "out there" changes careers several times over the course of a lifetime. Life is like a suit of clothes, if it doesn't fit - make alterations. After all, you're going to be in it for a long time.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Money was really tight growing up, but you can find it if you are willing to work hard. I worked construction, lifeguarded, and mopped floors to make the money I needed to pay for school.
