Problem Solving

Day to Day

A great day at work means that I am working directly with students and staff to support the postsecondary goals of all students. I feel especially great when meeting face to face to solve problems for students and staff. I really love when we are brainstorming something that seems impossible and then, voila, there is a way to get done what needs to get done! I also love when that solution is one that everyone else thinks is IMPOSSIBLE!

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Get an internship with an institute of higher ed, at a non-profit, working with students, with an administrator...just get an internship! Figure out what you are passionate about and do lots of that thing so that you can build mastery. Find positive friendships...friends that will think that being passionate is awesome and that support you in your passions. Find friends that you also want to support.
