Day to Day
My day is usually split between going to court and working in my office, meeting with clients, conducting depositions, doing legal research and writing. For the most part going to court entails arguing motions before a Judge or sitting down in a conference room with the Judge and other lawyers and talking about a particular case. A few times a year, a case may go to trial, which involves picking a jury, and presenting the evidence for your client's case to the jury.
Advice for Getting Started
Here's the first step for college students
Get involved in the legal community and / or mock trial programs at your school. Networking and gaining an internship can help lead you to a forever job.
