Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
I was very fortunate and grew up without noise.
How I responded:
As a child, I was encouraged to try things, to fail and to learn from failing. So, while I didn't live with noise, I think that everyone needs to be willing to try and fail - and then learn from that.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I knew I could do it, so I just did it and ignored all the comments that college wasn't worthwhile.
