Milestones

Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Have a passion for health & wellness.
Graduated in Health Science - opt. Community Health Education.
Working with the Community became a great impact on my life & received a Scholarship for my efforts.
After college, I worked at the LB Clinical Research in Regulatory (ensuring study compliance).
By summer, I got laid off and was fortunate to receive employment benefits from EDD.
Following that setback, I enrolled in school to obtain credits toward an X-ray/DMS field.
Currently in the process of doing applications, I am observing both departments to gather insight.
I am aiming to get into a program in summer/fall 2014.
Keep following my journey

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

If you are interested in the imaging, diagnostic, and patient care field I would highly suggest you to shadow and get a realistic observation of what is required or whether you see yourself in the practice. Join campus clubs/societies to stay plugged in with professional connections, this will open avenues for volunteering, internships, and jobs within your field. Build a relationship with your professors, if grad school becomes a goal then you won't struggle with finding Recommendations.

Recommended Education

My career is not related to what I studied. I'd recommend this path instead:

The Noise I Shed

From Myself:

"You should pursue your master's. However, I am not yet emotionally ready and hungry to pursue this goal. This has to deal with the fact of not knowing which field course for a master's degree I have interest in. My faith in God will guide me through this."
