Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Teachers:

You'll never learn anything if you don't listen Laggi!

  • How I responded:

The irony hearing "you'll never learn anything if you don't listen" and now being a Learning and Development professional often resonates with me. I listened but couldn't understand because it wasn't my preferred learning style. Give me something to DO, let me SEE how it's done and with that EXPERIENCE I can learn and over time, master the craft. Your mindset is the most powerful tool you have, believe that you can do it, visualize the outcome, see your success (through your own eyes).

  • The medical term is death. My sister was diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months to live. They were pretty accurate. To this day and to the last moments together, I believe in life and living. My mindset is tuned to overcome but not forget.
