I wrote a property management software program which required me to understand it to program it.
3.

5.
I studied for and got my real estate brokers license.
6.
I opened my own property management company.
7.
I invested in more real estate properties.
8.
I hired my son to work with me and we look to expand the business even further.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
You should go to college because that's the only way you will do well.
How I responded:
Of course certain occupations require college but for me had I gone to college I would have spent a lot of money and lost the opportunity to begin working early. I am not saying this will work for everybody but it did work for me very well. I did learn how to program computers during High School through (SCROC: Southern California Regional Occupational Center)...a FREE program while I was in school which changed my life!
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I purchased a home but needed roommates to help me pay the mortgage...it was a tough first few years but paved the path to where I am now.
