Defining Moments

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • It's very expensive to pursue nursing. I had to work at the same time as I was going to school, which was very difficult.

  • Nursing school is already challenging but even more so for diverse students. As with all professions, there's an implicit bias, which means you're going to have to work harder to show your competence and expertise.
