Day In The Life Of A Head Of Network Success

My Day to Day

No two days are the same, and I love that. Much of my day is spent in meetings but they're all really cool and different. I spend my time working with school leaders across the country, planning events that spark solutions and sharing what we learn to inspire others. I visit schools, build partnerships, and work alongside passionate people to transform high school education into something truly meaningful.

Life & Career Milestones

My path in life has been direct

  • 1.

    After earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, I kicked off my career as a wilderness counselor, living in the woods and guiding teens through life-changing programs.

  • 2.

    I helped launch a Transition to Independence program to support foster youth aging out of the system.

  • 3.

    I took a short break to spend a year in South Korea teaching English and working on grad school applications.

  • 4.

    I earned my master’s in public policy from the University of Michigan to deepen my impact through systems change.

  • 5.

    I conducted equity audits, uncovering how institutions treat people from different backgrounds unequally.

  • 6.

    Craving direct impact, I became a school principal and found joy being with students every day.

  • 7.

    I spent eight years with D.C. Public Schools, shaping policies and supporting schools from the central office.

  • 8.

    Now I lead network success at XQ Institute, helping school leaders nationwide reimagine high school for today’s world.
