Day In The Life Of An Employee Engagement Leader

My Day to Day

Each day I connect with nonprofits around the globe to help build equitable pathways in tech through education and training. I work closely with grantees and our internal teams, asking what they truly need—whether it’s funding, mentors, or technical experts—and then I help make it happen.

Advice for getting started

The field of social impact is constantly changing so there are a couple of anchors that are vital for success: purpose and people. You need to know what your purpose is, what impact you want to make, and why you're doing what you do. If you're interested in a company, put effort into understanding their work and connecting it back to purpose. It's also important to build your network and surround yourself with people who can help celebrate your successes and support you when you're down.

Here's the path I took:

  • High School

  • Bachelor's Degree

    Economics & English

    University of Connecticut

  • Graduate Degree

    International Finance and Economic Policy

    Columbia University
