Day In The Life

Fourth-Grade Teacher

I teach fourth-grade math, science, and social studies.

My Day to Day

No two days as a teacher are ever the same. In a single day, I plan and teach lessons, differentiate instruction, give students feedback, grade papers, answer emails, attend meetings, and more!

Skills & Education

Advice for getting started

When I started my YouTube channel, I was afraid. I thought no one would care what I had to say. After thinking about it, I realized that the worse thing that could happen is no one watches my videos. If that's the case, then I'd just stop making videos. No harm done. But if it actually grew into what I hoped for, then I could connect and inspire teachers around the world—which is what's happening now! There will always be a reason to say no. You have to choose to focus on the reasons to say yes.

Here's the path I took:

  • High School

  • Bachelor's Degree

    Elementary Education and Teaching

    Salisbury State University

  • Graduate Degree

    Teaching and Learning

  • Certification

Advanced Professional Certificate in Elementary Educations

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • When I first started teaching, I felt overwhelmed because the realities of teaching didn't align with what I thought teaching was. I love it, but it's a lot more work than college and student teaching had prepared me for.
