Life & Career Milestones
My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I always knew I wanted to be a nurse, so I went straight into college for nursing after graduating high school.
2.
After nursing school, I was hired as a float pool ICU nurse, which means I was trained to work in all of the ICUs—neonatal ICU, cardiac ICU, and pediatric ICU.
3.
While working as a float pool nurse, I also trained to be a vascular access nurse.
4.
After having my first child, I decided to switch over to the pediatric ICU full-time.
5.
Through the PICU, I’ve also become an ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) specialist.
