Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
- 1. - I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. 
- 2. - I began my journey at the United States Naval Academy, later earning my master's degree from Bowie State while stationed overseas. 
- 3. - I worked as a naval officer while attending law school at night, determined to balance duty and education. 
- 4. - Starting in commercial real estate law, I soon transitioned to solo practice, launching my own firm with my wife. 
- 5. - In 2007, I partnered with Robert Bozeman to establish Davis Bozeman Law where we expanded our impact on civil rights cases. 
- 6. - Witnessing injustice firsthand led me to shift from criminal defense to civil rights law, fighting for victims of police brutality. 
- 7. - I co-founded Black Man Lab, a mentorship initiative bringing together Black men to build community and support one another. 
- 8. - Additionally, I teach at Clark Atlanta University where I guide young Black scholars and ensure they are prepared for careers in law.
