My path in life has been direct
1.
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.
2.
I began my journey at the United States Naval Academy, later earning my master's degree from Bowie State while stationed overseas.
3.
I worked as a naval officer while attending law school at night, determined to balance duty and education.
4.
Starting in commercial real estate law, I soon transitioned to solo practice, launching my own firm with my wife.
5.
In 2007, I partnered with Robert Bozeman to establish Davis Bozeman Law where we expanded our impact on civil rights cases.
6.
Witnessing injustice firsthand led me to shift from criminal defense to civil rights law, fighting for victims of police brutality.
7.
I co-founded Black Man Lab, a mentorship initiative bringing together Black men to build community and support one another.
8.
Additionally, I teach at Clark Atlanta University where I guide young Black scholars and ensure they are prepared for careers in law.
