My path in life took a while to figure out

My mother, a Supreme Court judge in Canada, inspired my lifelong commitment to fairness and justice.

I grew up in Quebec City and followed family expectations into law, starting my career as a tax attorney in Canada.
3.
After moving to the U.S., I pivoted to legal aid and co-founded an alternative-to-incarceration program in New York.
4.
Founding a school for young people in the justice system sparked my passion for education as a tool for empowerment.
5.
I transitioned fully into education work and eventually became the CEO of iCivics, where I’ve served for over a decade.
6.
At iCivics, I’ve championed civic education that empowers students to think critically and take informed action.
