Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
I'm not paying for you to pursue guitar as a career.
How I responded:
When I was a kid, I wanted to become a professional guitarist. My father, however, told me that he wasn't going to pay for me to go to school to become a guitarist. So I went to college intending to become a doctor instead, as both my parents worked in medicine. Once I started working in the medical field, I realized it wasn't right for me. So I made the decision to chart a different path for myself.
