Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
- THE NOISE - Messages from Myself: - I must be the only one who's experienced this setback.
- How I responded: - There isn't a single person who doesn't experience setbacks. However, we tend to hide our setbacks from others. So when I experience one, it's easy to fall into thinking that I'm the only one who's experienced that. But if I share the experience with a friend, I've always received validation that they've experienced something similar. It's important to take pride in your work. Just remember that you should take pride that your work is good and not dwell on the fact that it may not be perfect.
