Milestones

My road in life has been direct.
I grew up in Houston, Texas.
As a kid, I was really interested in computers and video games, but I also really enjoyed band and music.
When applying for college, I applied to some schools for musical education and others for computer engineering.
I ultimately decided on computer engineering because I wanted to study something that would be advancing with time and pushing the edge.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
After graduating, I got a job with Nvidia, where I currently work as a software engineer.

Day to Day

I work on the driver team. Drivers interface the high-level software with the low-level hardware. I specifically work on a team focused on performance. I aim to make things go faster and fix a lot of bugs. I work more on weekly snippets than daily snippets. I start my week by breaking down the tasks that I have for that week. I work with my manager to prioritize these tasks. A lot of communication is involved to keep the team in the loop.
