I spend my days meeting with researchers, nonprofit leaders, and policymakers to figure out what’s really helping students thrive. Then I help turn those insights into policy and funding strategies that can expand access to high-quality careers.

I've taken a lot of twists and turns

    After college, I moved to Colorado for my first job at a small consulting firm focused on social impact strategy.

  • 2.

    I had no idea what philanthropy really was, but that first job introduced me to foundations and the power of grantmaking.

  • 3.

    Working with nonprofits and foundations helped me realize how central policy is to creating lasting social change.

  • 4.

    I went to grad school to study public administration and business so I could better understand strategy and systems change.

  • 5.

    I returned to my former firm with new tools and began focusing on how to expand economic opportunity at scale.

  • 6.

    I joined the federal government to work on workforce development initiatives tied to infrastructure law and manufacturing.

  • 7.

    I transitioned to Arnold Ventures to combine my government and consulting experience with a direct focus on career pathways.

    Today, I lead grantmaking and policy work aimed at helping more people access high-quality education and careers.
