My path in life has been direct
1.
Growing up in rural Maine, I chose a college in New Orleans because I wanted to challenge myself and learn from a completely different environment.
2.
While volunteering in New Orleans public schools, I met students who deserved far more support than they were receiving, and I couldn't look away.
3.
I kept showing up for those students, knowing my presence mattered, even as I questioned why the system had failed them.
4.
After college, I spent a year substitute teaching and coaching, deepening my understanding of the challenges and potential of young people.
5.
I earned a master’s degree in public policy to better understand how systems are built and how they can be changed for the better.
6.
Through internships, nonprofit work, and state-level education roles, I explored every angle of the system to strengthen my ability to create lasting change.
7.
Today, I lead education initiatives across New England, investing in schools and communities so every student can access an excellent and equitable future.
