My path in life has been direct
1.
I went to law school hoping to make a difference, but after graduation I couldn't find a legal job and bartended while searching for my next opportunity.
2.
A regular at the bar saw something in me and created a role for me at Jobs for the Future, introducing me to workforce development.
3.
Three years later, we spun off of Jobs for the Future and I helped launch the GitLab Foundation.
4.
Watching my younger brother struggle to find work after prison strengthened my commitment to creating more fair pathways to employment.
5.
Now, at the GitLab Foundation, I help invest in organizations that create better jobs and brighter futures for people who deserve a chance to thrive.
