My road in life has been direct.
Growing up, I enjoyed redesigning my room, which prompted me to consider pursuing fashion merchandising so that I could design store layouts for different seasons.
The college I wanted to attend didn’t provide that educational path, so I decided to pivot to my other interest of working with children.
I earned my degree in education from Ohio University.
I began my teaching career with a focus on empowering underserved kids, bringing my whole self to Columbus City schools.
Over the years, I've taught kindergarten, first, and third grades, finding my niche with third graders who spend all day learning with me.

You are not defined by your past. Yes, it’s an experience that you went through but your future is in your hands.

Teaching / Mentoring

Day to Day

My mornings start with a classroom setup followed by a circle meeting where we share respect and attention. We engage in activities that foster a supportive environment, essential for my multilingual students. I integrate multiple languages into our lessons, and we laugh together as I attempt Russian or Spanish. My role extends beyond teaching academics; it's about nurturing a community where every child feels valued and empowered to shape their future.
