My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I was working part-time at Summit Academy OIC as a janitor but wanted more for my daughter, so I got inspired to join the trades.
2.
I went through Local 49’s apprenticeship program and became an operating engineer apprentice.
3.
From there, I worked as a crane operator for a construction company for seven and a half years.
4.
I now work as a career navigator for Local 49, where I oversee our apprentices and help them navigate their apprenticeships.

I was struggling working part-time as a janitor to support my daughter. I wanted more for her, so I was inspired to join the trades and provide a better life.
