Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Society in general:

Construction is a challenging career path and there are not a lot of women in the profession. You should find another career.

  • How I responded:

Be focused on your vision for your career. If you are passionate, diligent, and persistent, you will accomplish your goals. You may decide to follow a different path along the way but being able to weigh options is the best place to be. You may not know what you like until you do it. Surround yourself with people that will push you. Always continue to grow both personally and professionally. Most importantly, remember it is your career and you are the driver.
