My road in life has been direct.
Grew up in Honduras and says she was always dreaming; never wanted to do anything "traditional," like becoming a doctor or lawyer.
Originally wanted to be an architect, but her mother talked her out of it; convinced her to train as a secretary.
Says, "because [my mother] pushed me into studying that, of course I was going to fail."
When she moved to the U.S., she truly started to "know herself," realized that she found joy in creation.
Says you have to keep a vision ahead of you, or else you'll remain stagnant and never grow.
Opened a chocolate shop in New York with one of her friends, and it became so successful that she was able to open a second shop.
Says she was never nervous when she came to the U.S.; she always felt that when she was here, she could achieve anything.
Often thinks back to when she was eight years old and made caramels to sell at school; says you should always revisit what interested you at a young age.
