I think it's up to us as individuals to really determine how far are we going to be willing to push ourselves, and what are we willing to risk.

Milestones

My road in life has been direct.
Started volunteering with Liberty in North Korea (LINK) the year it was founded.
She was out of college and working in advertising, but she felt something was lacking.
Her volunteer work with LINK started pulling at her so much that she couldn't focus on her job; quit to join LINK fulltime.
Feels like she was in the "unique season" of her life where she had no baggage, could take that risk and jump ship.
Says she's not cut out in her position, she's way under-qualified, has no experience in policy, but she's "here for a reason" and that's what counts.
For a while, she had to waitress to support herself while she volunteered at the nonprofit, but she stuck it out.
She gets frustrated, tired, stressed, but she's never said she hates her job because she feels it's a privilege for her to help others.
As a second-generation immigrant, she feels pressure to succeed, but this also drives her to give back.
Keep following my journey

Los Angeles

Meet Antoine, Hannah, and Nika of team Crazy, Babbling, Sunshine. Antoine has never left Southern California, but feels that he's ready to get out and explore. Hannah left her job as a weather broadcaster in South Korea to move back to the U.S. to figure out what she really wants to do with her life; while Nika grapples with whether she should transfer to a performing arts school or do what is expected of her. After the Roadtrippers meet for the first time in Southern California, they hop into the Green RV and head to their first interview with LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) president Hannah Song who tells them to "tap into their inner passions." After their conversation, the team is inspired and ready to take on their next interview in Los Angeles.
