My getting to where I am is based upon some good fortune, but a lot of it is taking advantage of every opportunity and putting the pedal to the metal.

Milestones

My road in life has been direct.
Has been drawing his own comics for as long as he can remember.
Went to art school for two years and entered the workforce at age 19.
Worked a 9-to-5 job every day, then stayed up late into the night drawing his own comic one page at a time.
Published first comic just before he turned 20; admits he rushed it so he could say he'd been published as a teenager.
Eventually "felt comfortable enough to jump"; gave up his day job, drew his comics full-time.
Says he started out with low self-confidence socially, but his confidence in his work never faltered.
Whenever he was rejected, he used his anger and frustration to drive him forward, inspire his art.
Chalks up some of his success to luck, but the vast majority of it to seizing every possible opportunity.
Keep following my journey

Chicago - Washington, D.C.

While in Chicago, the team encounters a roadblock-the Green RV's transmission breaks. After leaving the RV at a mechanic, the Roadtrippers meet up with Food Network host and chef Gale Gand who greets them with home-baked muffins. Gale tells the team about her life of traveling, working in France, and meeting Julia Child. Afterward, the Roadtrippers meet with Alex Ross, a comic book artist who tells them about his incredible luck in his career, but stresses that anyone can do anything they want-they just have to put in the effort. Afterward, the team hears bad news: the RV won't be fixed in time for their next interviews. So, they decide to book flights to their next stop in Washington, D.C...despite that Antoine has never been on a plane before.
