I have to scan it an hour before my flight departure. I have to brief with my coworkers (we talk about safety related issues if any) then we check all the emergency equipment on the airplane to make sure things are up to date. Then we start boarding 45 min before flight departure. We greet passengers and assist those who need it. Then we close the door, make our safety demo, check seat belts and make sure electronics are off. Then we take off. After we reach 10,000 ft, we start our service.


Tasks & Responsibilities May Include

  • Verify that first aid kits and other emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers and oxygen bottles, are in working order.
  • Announce and demonstrate safety and emergency procedures, such as the use of oxygen masks, seat belts, and life jackets.
  • Monitor passenger behavior to identify threats to the safety of the crew and other passengers.
  • Walk aisles of planes to verify that passengers have complied with federal regulations prior to takeoffs and landings.
  • Prepare passengers and aircraft for landing, following procedures.
