Leaving New Zealand
We woke up today in a very somber mood. Despite the energy and hustle of trying to catch our flights, we were sobered by the realization that this journey has come to and end. These last few weeks were wonderful, nearly perfect in every sense. We did as much as we could, immersed ourselves as deeply as possible, and tried not to let an opportunity escape us. We only wished we had more time here. Our two weeks were jam packed but we... (more)

More Auckland
We rolled out of bed today both excited and saddened as it was our last full day in New Zealand. We decided to head out to Waiheke island. A short ferry trip later and we were on the majestic island. We wanted to take a wine-tasting tour but weren’t sure which tour to go with. We think we picked the one that suited us best. Actually, we didn’t pick the tour, the tour picked us. Auckland Again
We had an interview scheduled in Auckland today but for various reasons we weren’t able to get it set up. This afforded us some time to take in more of Auckland. They took us to lunch at the Observatory in the Sky Tower. The food was great and the... (more)

Even More Wellington
The weather was beautiful today, so much that it inspired Brent to take a jog along the coast of the harbor. This was a great place to take in some scenery and to meet people. We had an interview scheduled with a unique man, Thom Monckton. He has spent his life traveling the world studying and performing as a clown. He had many hilarious and completely unique stories to tell. Thom offered some great advice on dedicating yourself to... (more)

More Wellington
We didn’t have any interviews scheduled today so we were able to take in more of the city. We wanted to get a little culture and learn more about the history of New Zealand so we visited the Te Papa museum. We were only able to stay a couple hours but could have spent many more. After our visit to the museum we took hike through the Korori nature preserve. We took the night tour in hopes to see a kiwi but didn’t have any luck. ... (more)
