Kia Ora!
Our names are Fawna, Allison, and Ray... three individuals as different as the states that we live in: Maryland, Kentucky and California. The common thread binding us together is that we are all at confusing crossroads in our lives: being forced to figure out what to do with our lives after graduating from college. As young adults early in our independence, our minds have been flooded with the ideals of our parents and society alike-- play it safe, get a 9 to 5 job, and no matter what always have a backup plan. We call this distraction the noise. The three of us often wonder about the endless number of possibilities that are available to us for the taking. Taking a step in the right direction, we decided to stop listening to the noise and start listening to people who have followed their passions.

Beginning in June, we set off on a life-altering adventure across the Pacific and plunge into the culture and customs of New Zealand, in hope of defining our paths in life. Starting in Auckland, we traveled across the country connecting with unconventional individuals who have followed their own passions in life and used these passions as a guide to define their own roads. These conversations were filmed throughout our travels and will contribute to an independent documentary series that will be shown on public television, and shared with the rest of our generation in hope of inspiring others.
