The Northstar Session offers a fresh take on a rock sound a'la The Band, Wilco, Big Star and Counting Crows.  

Since the release of their first album, New Prehistoric Times, in 2008, The Northstar Session has quickly amassed a worldwide following for their music.  The foursome has spent most of the last year touring the West Coast, and are currently working on their second album. The UK's Classic Rock Magazine describes them as "Southern California's retro-rockers," stating, "The Northstar Session leaves the headbanging and teeth-gnashing to hotter heads, preferring a sound full of deep grooves, stately Hammond organs, gently strumming acoustic guitars, and timeless melodies."
