BIOGRAPHY:
Kate Fay, executive chef at Cibo restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand, thought her passion was traveling when she was younger. But after a trip to Israel, she discovered her passion might be something else. While in Israel, Kate worked at a kitchen on a kibbutz, a rural community. The other women working in the kitchen immediately noticed her talent for cooking. After returning home, Kate thought, "this is what I am going to do." From there, she went to college and embarked on her culinary path. The only girl in an all-male class, Kate didn't let anything deter her from pursuing a path in the culinary arts and rising to the top.
