BIOGRAPHY:
After working at IBM for 17 years and not taking responsibility for his career, Craig finally decided to take charge of where he was heading. And to his surprise, a hobby ultimately provided the direction he sought. By 1998, the notices he had been sending to friends about cool events had caught on, and he had attracted a large following to what had become known as "Craig's list." The name stuck, and the hobby soon became a bona fide company, making Craig a major player in the dot.com world.
