BIOGRAPHY:
After moving to Japan, Alex happened to luck into a job writing about environmental issues for an English language newspaper. This was his first exposure to disastrous environmental problems and seeing these environmental issues first-hand forever changed his worldview. As an aspiring journalist, Alex went on to take various writing gigs covering environmental affairs. However, he felt he was writing about these problems but wasn't doing anything to fix them. After taking a cross-country road trip and meeting with inspired people along the way, Alex realized that there are many people working to improve this world. Worldchanging started as a blog he created with a few friends. The goal was to capture the innovative ideas and people that are out there and it grew very quickly. Alex went on to co-author the bestselling book, Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century and continues to be an activist for social change.
