Wanda's Open Road
Wanda Sykes is immediately recognizable from her wide assortment of television and movie rolls. Few people realize that before starring in her own comedy central show, ‘Wanda Does It,’ winning two Emmys for her work on ‘Inside the NFL,’ co-starring alongside Jennifer Lopez in the film ‘Monster-in-Law,’ and accusing Larry David of being an ‘ass man,’ on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ Wanda worked for the National Security Agency in Washington DC. One day while listening to the radio, Wanda heard of a local stand-up comedy competition. She entered, won and almost immediately hit the stand-up circuit. Wanda didn’t look back, even though she was leaving a solid job with security and benefits. Wanda’s advice for young people who are undecided as to a career is to be concerned first and foremost with their passion, not their pocketbook. She also warns against future unhappiness for those whose first allegiance is to the status quo.

Sykes!
wanda is a very good comedian she always starred in the chris rock show , but i digress she speaks of how she was in national security and was moving up bu then she had a realization that comedy is what she truly wanted, regardless giving up her job was quite hard she stated numerous times.
Go For What Makes You Happy
I agree with everything that Wanda said during this interview. In life, its important to take risks and just go for what makes you happy instead of what will make you the most money, or what society says will make you the most successful. Instead of doing what the secure and steady option is, you should find your passion or your dream, and follow it. Don\'t just do something that will make you feel secure or safe.
Life,Risk Taking,and Your Happiness...
She was so deep and to the point.I overall can say that she was the one out of everyone in this video that inspired me the most. She is completely correct. You can always take the path that is most traveled by,but do you like the ground that you walk on?..You can always do something that is safe, something that has a guaranteed future, but will you be happy? That is what truly matters in the end, because you are going to have to live with it.
Happiness First
I love everything that Wanda was saying in this interview. There are so many people on the planet that have let society dictate their happiness by saying that since they make a lot of money and have a nice house they\'re happy. But a lot of the time it\'s those people who are most miserble with their lives. Instead of going out there and trying to make their dreams come true, they just did what would get them the most money. That isn\'t happiness and I love that she realized she was unhappy and left it all behind for something that does make her happy.
Risk taking.
Wanda Sykes\' interview is very inspiring to me. She decided to officially quit her \'safe job\' as a National Security Agent and started to achieve her dream in becoming a comedian. She took a huge risk just to do something that she was happy with and had a passion for, and to me that is inspirational.
Wanda Sykes
i agree somewhat with what she said. she said dont think about the money and dont think about the pay roll, dont think about 10 years from now what house you are going to get, what car, married or not. think about what makes you happy and the money will come. i agreee with that to a certain point. yes you should look for what you love to do that makes you happy. but everyone will always think about money, because people need to make a living. you cant really live with out money... but i still agree that you should find something you love, and hopefully like what wanda was saying, the money will come.
