It is interseting how Lani has a degree in english and art history but works in science. He followed what he thought he knew he wanted to study but found something else he was more interested in. As he walks by some of the exhibits he seems really happy and excited to see how each object has a mystery that can be explained. By exploring some other possibilities Lani discovered that the exploritorium was where he wanted to work.

when Shawn Lani was telling the leaders about how he came to be, it was inspiring. he was saying how you just need to go out and take chances. even though you dont know what you are doing, sooner or later you will know and you will do something great. on the bus he drew a small circle of the things he knew. and then around it was a big circle of the stuff he didnt know. to me it meant just because you dont know something doesnt me you can come to understand it or even do it.
