As the CEO of Global Team for Local Initiatives, you wouldn't have expected that Lori Pappas was a housewife at the age of 19 who broke out of her comfort zone to become an entrepreneur, and fifty years later, in her words, failed at retirement. Lori discovered her passion for helping people while on vacation in Africa and realized she couldn't not attempt to assist those in need. As the CEO of Global Team for Local Initiatives (whose mission is to elp indigenous people acquire the resources and skills to ensure their long term survival while maintaining their traditional cultural values), Lori is working with the 23,000 member Hamar tribe of Ethiopia, one of the world’s oldest cultures and one of the most endangered.
