John Passacantando was lucky that he had parents who told him to do whatever he wanted to do—as long as he did his best at it. He went to college and didn’t know what he wanted to be. After college, he worked for a company that researched economics and sold its research to Wall Street to help run an environmental organization. During that time ecological protection was a big hot button issue and John decided he wanted in on that. There he discovered his passion for ecological preservation, which later lead him to Greenpeace. John is now the executive director of Greenpeace.
