Barry's Open Road
At age 14, when most teen boys would be more into playing sports or fixing cars, Barry Brickell had a knack for creating pottery. After becoming a teacher, Barry worked for less than a year before beginning his pottery business, Driving Creek Potteries. After a while, Barry focused on another one of his passions—railways—and invested money into a functioning railway on his property in Coromandel, New Zealand. Today, Barry employs four railway engineers and continues to make pottery.

I can honestly say this is one of the realest person I have ever seen. His approach to life is what we as a society want to fullfil. What sets him apart from us is the fact that he had the courage to do what he loves. I learned that whatever passion that you have let that be the driving factor in moving toward that direction, its not always about the money or what others say it about what you feel in your heart.
Inspiring
I love his attitude! It\'s amazing how a man with so much intelligence doesn\'t want to puruse a career that society nowadays portrays as what makes a person successful. He\'s doing what he loves and his message is that\'s all that matters!
This is fantastic!
This has to be one of my favorite interviews! Sure some people might say that Barry Brickell is a bit \"different,\" but to me, that\'s the whole point. Have you ever seen someone so passionate about pottery? I love it!
